Prayer 1
If most of you are like me, you'll be instantaneously inspired to pray straight after reading Erin's post. But the sudden adrenaline will die down twice as quickly, and prayer will be but a moment contemplated but never conceived. So i'm going to pray just now:Dear God,
Thank you for being such a powerful and almighty God, yet you love us so much so as to bear the temptation of hunger in the desert, the pain on the cross, and to humble yourself so much so as to wash the dust off our feet. Lord, I pray that you'd make us humble too. And convict us that we may be fully dependent upon you.
I thank you for the faith that you have manifested in Erin. Thank you that she has such a passionate heart for prayer and a fervent faith in you to go along with it; for she knows that without You, we can't do anything. With that, i want to thank you for the opportunity that you have so graciously given the Saltshakers to go on a mission trip. I pray that you'd let us cherish this trip dearly in our hearts. I pray that you'd provide for our every need in preparing for this trip for we commit it into your hands. Lord, i pray for a breakthrough during this mission trip; that you'd reveal yourself to each of us in a very personal way. So that we may experience you for ourselves, that our faiths may grow in You, and that we may learn to have complete trust in you. Make us dependent on you. As we humble ourselves before you, would you lift us up just as your Word has promised.
Thank you for all the blessings that you have showered upon us through Lydia. Thank you for the opportunity that you've given us to bless her. As you returns home, i pray that you'd continue to bless her and that you'd use her in an even more powerful and influential way to witness to those that are still lost in her community. Lord, grant her a strong faith that will not waver through the schemes and traps that the devil might throw along her path to stumble her. Give her new strength each day to be a shining light for you, that many many more may come to know of your wondrous love for them.

I pray that many more prayers may be posted. That our love and faith in God may be shown through deeds, and not by words alone!
